Christmas week, a very special meal deal

I guess it’s that time of year when there’s all manner of deals – hope some of you nabbed some Bolly from Morrisons! I’ve no wish to be an extension of others’ PR machines, but I’m a huge fan of The Harrow at Little Bedwyn whose wine list is as feted as this Michelin-starred restaurant’s food.
Roger and Sue Jones, its talented and very convivial owners, are offering a special 6 course gourmet seafood menu for £30 per head, or £60 including Champagne and matched wines. The offer runs from Tuesday 22nd to Thursday 24th December and is for lunch or dinner (pre-bookings only).
It’s also worth noting that, in the New Year, when VAT reverts to 17.5% (boo!), their (very impressive) listing of Australian wines will be offered at VAT free prices throughout January.
For fellow Londoners, groups of 3 or more can ask for a joint off peak return which reduces the train ticket to around £13.00 per person (trains run hourly direct from Paddington to Bedwyn) – see The Harrow’s website for travel information.
