Did you play Top Trumps at school? Before the cult programme that is Top Gear was even a glimmer in Jeremy Clarkson’s eye, I was pretty hot on super cars – the Stig of Top Trumps! It’s a geeky game, succinctly (and somewhat drily) described by Wikipedia as follows: “Each card contains a list of numerical data, and the aim of the game is to compare these values in order to try to trump and win an opponent’s card.” It’s back in fashion too. Apparently, last year Top Trumps sold over 40 million packs!!!!!
